Finding the Del Rio Trail

PROJECT: The Del Rio Trail in Sacramento is an inner-city trail that will allow cyclists, pedestrians, runners, and dog walkers to travel for 4.8 miles to access schools, parks, retail centers, and jobs. It provides the potential for recreation amenities and will serve as an alternative commute route for people to bike to work rather than drive on freeways and boulevards. The Trail follows a former railroad line and part of the Sacramento River. Develop and design a wayfinding sign system and placemaking intervention for the Del Rio Trail. The response should acknowledge the history, culture, and geography of the location, and serve the recreational needs of a diverse population of Sacramento residents and visitors.
