Cultural, Experience

A Day at the Shrem

Project: Transactional experiences have the potential to transform relationships between museums and patrons, as well as patrons among other patrons. Experience design principles look at the journey of a user: across multiple touchpoints (pre-event; during; post-event); between people and brands, organizations, and/or environments; and within the ideas, emotions, and memories that these moments create. Three main public transactional experiences need to be designed for the new Shrem Museum of Art: welcome experience (portable info desk, retail kiosk and signage stanchions); concessions experience (portable bike powered food and coffee cart/s); social experience (range of interpretive soft furnishings for lolling, lounging and working). Design an experiential journey and comprehensive welcome experience for the new museum (currently under construction).
