Generate outlandish ideas that test our perception of Icelandic culture.

Overview
Exhibition and experience design is only as good as the ideas that are generated. Free thinking, outlandish and improbable concepts lead to better solutions and exhibition strategies that truly engage audiences and deliver content in a way where people feel like they experiencing rather than learning. Designers have to step out of the norm, and visualize their ideas in this highly creative and experimental field.

Brief
Based on a previous series of design sketching and ideation exercises, create improbable ideas for an exhibition space or experience that introduces tourists to Iceland’s culture. From puffins to trolls, interpret the island’s natural and mystical themes for a broad audience using engaging methods and interactive exhibit solutions. Work in teams to develop the content and quickly rendered design solutions. Most important, make us laugh. Gagarin will share their solutions at the end of the project.

Process
Phase 1: Research and Design Analysis (Absorb)
