Create designs for a large-scale garden installation.
Overview
The artist Linder’s first retrospective in Scotland showcases 50 years of trailblazing artwork both inside the galleries and outside in the Royal Botanic Gardens. It dives into her fascination with plants and collage, and invites us to see beyond traditional ideas about gender and sexuality.
Brief
Using the exhibition Linder: Danger Came Smiling as inspiration, develop a garden-based art/design installation that activates the space and engages with adult and family audiences through a playful approach. The installation should explore the themes of plants, biodiversity loss, and climate change. Work in teams to develop the content and quickly rendered design solutions. Use model-making and physical materials to express your ideas and design intent.
