Create designs for a a large-scale ‘lawn game’ experience that communicates biodiversity loss or climate change.
Overview
Engage with adult and family audiences through play. Develop a large-scale ‘lawn game’ experience to be used during good weather on the lawn outside Inverleith House at the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh. The activity should explore the themes of biodiversity loss or climate change.
Brief
Create designs that should be fun to play; simple to understand – no complicated rules – ideally a version of a well-known game; short, so that other families can enjoy their turn too; suitable for 2-6 players, age 5+; made of sustainable materials which pack into an attractive and easily moved container; communicate key messages on either climate change or biodiversity loss; have a catchy name and be of visual interest. Work in teams to develop the content and quickly rendered design solutions.
